Hermosa Beach Summer Sidewalk Celebration

The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau hosts its Summer Sidewalk Celebration in downtown Hermosa Beach on Friday, Aug. 4; Saturday, Aug. 5; and Sunday, Aug. 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The seventh annual event, sponsored by Southern California Edison, allows residents and visitors to browse through merchandise on the sidewalks of Pier and Hermosa avenues.

Retail shops will use the weekend to showcase incoming products and move seasonal merchandise both inside and outside the stores in a festive atmosphere. Look for business owners to dress up storefronts with beachy decorations, create fun contests and provide refreshments. Restaurants offer various specials and several businesses will have children’s activities in addition to the popular scavenger hunt that gives participants a chance to win prizes. It’ll be a lively three days in town with the International Surf Festival, Movies at the Beach and Summer Concerts taking place.
