CMT Music Awards 2016

CMT kicked off the summer with the 2016 CMT Music Awards, which is a fan-voted awards show for country music videos and television performances. The awards ceremony is held every year in Nashville, Tennessee, and broadcast live on CMT. Voting takes place on CMT’s website, CMT.com.

Performers included Blake Shelton and The Oak Ridge Boys, Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban with Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Cam and Fifth Harmony, Dierks Bentley with Elle King, Billy Ray Cyrus with Cheap Trick, Carrie Underwood, Pitbull with Leona Lewis and Cassadee Pope, and Little Big Town with Pharrell Williams. Additionally new acts Brothers Osborne, LOCASH, Maren Morris and Michael Ray performed on the Firestone stage. Actors Vince Vaughn and Rob Riggle, NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, country artists Charles Kelley, Cole Swindell, Dan + Shay, Kellie Pickler, Chris Janson, and Kelsea Ballerini, along with pop singer Leona Lewis, actors Joey Lauren Adams and Madison Iseman from the new upcoming CMT series Still the King, actors Billy Gardell and Chad Michael Murray from CMT’s upcoming series Million Dollar Quartet, radio personality Bobby Bones and CMT’s Cody Alan presented during the show.
