2017 Billboard Music Awards

The Billboard Music Award is an honor given by Billboard, a publication and music popularity chart covering the music business. The Billboard Music Awards show had been held annually since 1990 in December until it went dormant in 2006. The awards returned in 2011 and is held annually in May.

The 2017 Billboard Music Awards will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 21, 2017. The list of nominees was announced on April 10, 2017.

The “2017 Billboard Music Awards” will showcase this year’s hottest musical acts, big performances and buzzworthy pop culture moments that will have everyone talking.

Billboard Music Awards finalists are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The awards are based on a 12-month reporting period ending in March of 2017. Since 1940, the Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking the popularity of artists, songs and albums, and are the ultimate measure of success in music.

Billboard can officially confirm that Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens will be the co-hosts of this year’s Billboard Music Awards.

This will be Ludacris’ fourth straight year in the role. Hudgens will replace last year’s co-host, Ciara, in her first time in the position.
